The exam would be conducted in an online mode and also the very first step for applying to the post will begin in online mode itself. The highlights just mention about what events are included in the entire application process of SBI clerk 2020.

For preliminary, there are three sections which include the English language having 30 questions, numerical ability having 35 questions and reasoning ability having 35 questions. For the Mains exam, there are four sections which include General English having 40 questions, Quantitative aptitude having 50 questions, reasoning ability and computer aptitude having 60 questions and general/ financial awareness having 50 questions.

The marking scheme for preliminary and mains exam is the same that is each question carries one mark in both the sections and negative marking is applied to both the exams wherein 0.25 mark would be deducted for each wrong answer.

The cutoffs are also decided by SBI. The general category cutoffs are as follows: for a preliminary exam, the cutoff for the English language is 6.75/30, for reasoning ability 7.75/35, for numerical ability 5.5/35.

For mains, the cutoff for reasoning and computer aptitude is 24/60, general/financial awareness 13.5/50, for quantitative aptitude 14.5/50, for general English 14.25/40.

The selection procedure would be having the criteria wherein the candidates who qualify prelims and appear in mains and then the candidate scoring high marks in mains exam will be eligible for allotment.

One more important thing the candidate must check the eligibility criteria before applying for this post. There are some age restrictions imposed by SBI required for this post and also qualification requirements must also be fulfilled.

Complete Details on SBI Clerk Important Dates 2020

Notification: The notification for SBI clerk 2020 released. The notification will have all the necessary details related to the exam such as eligibility criteria, total number of vacancies, exam pattern, syllabus, exam centers, etc.

As of now the total number of vacancies released by SBI for the SBI clerk 2020 is approximately 20,000, according to the sources.

SBI Clerk Application form: The form to apply for the post which is application form will be made available online to the candidates in the month of January 2020. Online registration of application begins in January.

Along with that closure for editing application details would be done in May 2017. Means once the application is submitted and payment is made then no further changes would be entertained in the application at any cost.

The online fee payment would be in the month of April to January 2020 as it relies only upon the application form.

The payment has to be made through gateway associated with an application form and should be made online only and no offline payment would be accepted. The candidate must apply for the registration much before the closure dates so as to avoid last minute rush or inability to apply.

Release of admit card and conduct of pre-exam training: The pre-exam training is generally for categories such as SC/ST/ Religious minority community candidates.

The training is very important to crack any examination so SBI provides complete training to several special communities. The admit card for the pre-exam training would be released in May 2017. The pre-exam training would take place in May 2017. The particular dates are not yet disclosed.

Exam dates: The two phases of the SBI clerk 2020 exam would be conducted in different months. First, the prelims would be conducted and then the mains. The confirmed exam dates would be communicated to the candidates once the notification for the exam gets released.
